The Japan Mobility Show 2025, formerly the Tokyo Motor Show in scheduled to place later this month in the Japanese capital and The Pioneer will be attending the show as a guest of Honda Cars India. But before the show begins, the Japanese manufacturer is highlighting an extensive range of displays from two and four wheeled vehicles to Honda’s expertise in marine engines, aircraft and even a reusable rocket that uses sustainable fuel.
While the Japanese manufacturer has released some details of the exhibits, the most relevant exhibit for the Indian market is likely to be Honda’s new compact Electric vehicle which will make its world premiere at the show. This is expected to be based on the existing Honda Elevate platform and will be produced at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.
But visitors to Honda’s booth at Tokyo will not only see this car but also the recently launched Honda N-One small electric car and the new Prelude sportscar which features the next-generation of Honda’s e:HEV Hybrid technology. While the concept and futuristic Honda 0 lineup has been previously showcased, a third member of the lineup will make its world premiere in Tokyo, and this might be the first production Honda 0 vehicle. Another world premiere at the show will be Honda’s first electric motorcycle concept, which the company claims defies conventional concepts and delivers “surprises, excitement and new experiences”. A new electrically assisted mountain bike, the e-MTB will also make its presence felt.
Honda’s forays into the marine world, being a leader in outboard motors will also be showcased as will the interiors of the Honda EliteJet II, a small private jet also manufactured by Honda. The most interesting exhibit could be Honda’s new reusable rocket which seeks to address one of the most polluting areas of the space race, rocket fuels by the development of a new sustainable fuel.
