Under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam achieved a remarkable feat on Wednesday, demonstrating exceptional speed in industrial project commencement. The North Boro Hundong Limestone Block at Humdong, Umrangsoo, auctioned to M/S Dalmia Bharat Ltd, became fully operational in just nine months. This rapid commissioning made it the nation’s fastest LOI-to-operation project.
Minister Kaushik Rai performed a puja at the site and flagged off the first truck of limestone, officially marking the start of work. The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, reflecting the collective commitment behind this achievement, including Debolal Gorlosa, CEM of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council; Ajay Tewari, Additional Chief Secretary; Paragmani Mahanta, DGM; and Pranjit Warry, Additional Secretary (Mines).
