A fake Facebook ID has been created using the name and profile photo of Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, through which misleading posts are being circulated.
In response, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha has issued a public alert, urging citizens to remain cautious.
This is a case of cyber fraud. The public is advised to be vigilant and avoid engaging with any unauthorized social media accounts or phone numbers that solicit money or offer suspicious incentives. Any such fake account should be immediately blocked, and no suspicious messages or links should be opened.
The deputy commissioner further stated that if anyone has suffered a data breach or financial loss, they should file a complaint through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or at their nearest police station.
The matter has already been reported to the district police, and appropriate legal action is being initiated.
