In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, a training session was organized for Polling Officers (POs) at Sector 2 C Senior Secondary School and Sector 2 D Plus Two School in Bokaro Steel City. The session, conducted under the guidance of District Election Officer (DEO) cum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav, aimed to provide essential training and guidance to the POs.
The training session witnessed the presence of key officials, including Nodal Officer Jagarnath Lohra, Atul Kumar Chaube, and Media Coordinator Avinash Kumar Singh, among others.
DC Jadhav addressed the POs, highlighting the critical role they play in the electoral process. She emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination among all POs, urging them to work diligently to ensure the success of the democratic process. She also reminded them of the rare opportunity they have to facilitate the voting process for citizens.
Furthermore, Jadhav encouraged the POs to familiarize themselves with the Election Commission handbook/manual and adhere to its guidelines meticulously. She stressed the importance of following the instructions laid down by the Election Commission to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
The training session reaffirmed the commitment of the electoral authorities to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections. With the training received, POs are now well-prepared to fulfill their responsibilities and contribute to the successful conduct of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
