It's our prime duty to protect plants, says Mayor Renu Agarwal

A massive sapling planting programme was held at Bhadrapara School in the city.  City Mayor Renu Agrawal participated in the function. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Renu Agrawal said that plants are the precious gifts given to us by nature.

“All living beings are dependent on trees and without plants life cannot be imagined,” she said.   “It is our first duty to protect plants and to plant maximum number of saplings and conserve them”, she said.

On the occasion, saplings of various species of fruits were planted on the primary and high School premises. The participants planted number of saplings at the massive planting programme held at Ward number 36. 

Corporator Anju Dhritlahre, Mayor-in-Council Member Indira Kaushik, senior Congress leader Kusum Dwivedi, students of the school and others were present.
