Traffic Management

The Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE), College of Traffic Management, Faridabad, Haryana, invites application for its newly launched course Master of Science (MSc) in Traffic Management. This is Asia’s first two-year course  in traffic management to equip students with skills to manage and design the traffic and transportation management systems.

The course deals with transport and traffic engineering, driver training and fleet management, road safety audits, road crash investigations, traffic engineering, forensic engineering, road asset financing and post-crash management.

The first global Masters of Science in Traffic Management has been given approval by the Government of Haryana and Maharshi Dayanand University to be conducted at IRTE’s College of Traffic Management from August 2018. Maximum of 30 seats are being offered to include in-service participants and students from South East Asia.

Graduates from the program typically will be able to  work as senior professionals in local, state and federal Government agencies such as road and transport authorities, public and private sector transport operators and local and international consulting organisations.

The aim of unveiling this course is to promote such programmes in other institutes across South East Asia as a part of the MOU between IRTE and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe .The course is open to all the graduates. For more information, log on to www.irte.com.

BPharm

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram has announced admissions for Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm, a four-year industry-oriented programme endorsed by reputed industrial houses pertaining to the domains of pharmaceutical sciences and related fields.

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences also offers MPharm in Pharmaceuticals (two years), MPharm plus MBA (three- years integrated course) and PhD in Pharmaceuticals, among other programmes.

The programmes have been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It has been designed in collaboration with pharmaceutical organisations of repute. The newly launched R&D centre for pharmaceutical research will further ensure a holistic and experiential learning for the students who will be familiarised with the knowledge of formulation development from basic drug designing to the final stages of clinical trials.

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences also has two centres of excellence— Centre for Novel Drug Delivery System and Centre for Formulation Development to boost high-quality teaching-learning culture.

The university also provides scholarships to meritorious students. The previous batches have obtained 100 percent placement. Students can also be absorbed in the pharmaceutical business of the Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, apart from opportunities in various MNCs and other leading companies.

Minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks in Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology from any recognised board.

All eligible applicants shall be shortlisted on the basis of their academic performances and aptitude followed by a mock test.
