ICAI contributes to Kerala

In August 2018, the floods in Kerala caused extensive devastation and a large number of people lost their lives and thousands were rendered homeless. To provide relief to the affected flood victims in State and support them in time of crisis, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) took the initiative and appealed to its members and employees to contribute generously towards Kerala relief fund. ICAI, as a partner to the nation since last 70 years and considering it as a part of its societal responsibility, contributed Rs 70 lakh for the flood victims.

Naveen ND Gupta, Chartered Accountant & president, ICAI today handed over a cheque of Rs 70 lakh to Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Arun Jaitley in the presence of Minister of Railways and Coal, Piyush Goyal as a contribution of ICAI to the Prime Minister National Relief Fund.
