cong ‘obstruction’ in Ram temple: UMA

New Delhi: Union Minister Uma Bharti Thursday appealed to Congress president Rahul Gandhi to honour his “Brahmin credentials” by supporting the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhaya. Describing the Congress as “obstructionist” in construction of the temple, Bharti said the party is trying to “disturb” the atmosphere and is playing vote bank politics on the issue. Bharti’s remarks came on the 26th anniversary of the Babri mosque’s demolition in Ayodhya by Hindutva activists in 1992.

New Delhi: A health camp was organised at Pilanji Village in Kotla Mubarakpur in South Delhi recently wherein doctors including Dr Jagdish Kaur and Dr Sarita Mittal from WILGA, a non-profit organisation, created awareness about the  general health issues, gender equality, importance of family planning besides providing medicines to women and their kids, mostly from lower strata. Majority of the women were suffering from most common but seriously neglected conditions like high/low BP and tobacco-related problems, said Dr Kaur, president of WILGA.
