Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was found showing maturity when he criticised the Indian Government abroad. Germany is not the forum for him to criticise the Government for “slow pace of job creation”. In his quest for power, Rahul Gandhi has been denigrating the country outside. He has been unleashing malicious propaganda for political gains.
But can anyone justify the killing of thousands of Sikhs in 1984ij If Congressmen did not engineer the genocide following the assassination of Indira Gandhi, who else could have the motive to kill themij If Congressmen were not involved in the massacre, why did former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh apologise in 2014ij
In disagreeing with the view that the Congress was involved in the killing, Rahul Gandhi cannot refurbish the sullen image of the Congress. He needs to be reminded that Congress leader HKl Bhagat was convicted for his involvement in the 1984 riots. In the ten-year tenure of the Congress from 2004 to 2014, the party was riddled with scams after scams. Even four years after the party relinquished the seat of power at the Centre, scams that occurred in the Manmohan Singh regime are still coming out. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working hard to resurrect India’s economy. He deserves a second chance to prove his mettle.
