A 28-year-old taxi driver was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified persons in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri. The deceased has been identified as Mehtab, a resident of the same area.

"A police control room (PCR) call was received at around 11 pm from Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial (BJRM) Hospital on Tuesday that a person with stab injuries was admitted in the hospital and was declared brought dead," said the senior police official.

"During investigation, it was revealed that Mehtab had left home on Tuesday night after he received a call. After sometime, he was found wounded near the second gate of the BJRM hospital. He tried to get to the hospital, but collapsed near the gate following which the passerby admitted him in the hospital," said the senior police official.

"A case has been registered and the police team is investigating who had called Mehtab," the senior police official added.
