3 held in Bulandshahr cow slaughter case

Three miscreants involved in the alleged cow slaughter case in Bulandshahr were arrested by a police team on Tuesday. Those arrested were identified as Nadeem, Rahis and Kala, all of Syana police station area of Bulandshahr. The police said a team, led by SP, City, Atul Kumar Srivastava, got a tip-off about miscreants involved in the cow slaughtering case in Mahav village under Syana police station area on December 2 and 3 night. “A team laid a trap and nabbed the miscreants who were in a Gypsy near Pashu Paith market in the locality,” the police said.

The police said the miscreants were arrested on Tuesday morning. “ A double barrel gun, a machete and a sharp-edged weapon were recovered from them,” the police said, adding that one of their aides, identified as Harun of Syana locality, escaped arrest.

The miscreants owned up their crime and disclosed that they had killed a cow in a forest cover in Syana police station area on December 1 night. They disclosed that Harun had gun down the cow and later their distributed the meat among them before throwing the carcass in a sugarcane field.

The miscreants further disclosed that they had gunned down three cows on December 2 and December 3 night and had thrown the carcasses and some meat in a field before distributing the meat among them. They admitted that they had taken the hides of slaughtered cows with them. The carcasses and meat were recovered from a field in Mahav village and that led to people of a community to take to the street in protest against the incident. While controlling the situation, inspector Subodh Kumar Singh had fallen victim to the bullet of some of the protesters.
