AAP releases affidavit as ‘promises to people’

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released the 13-point brief of the manifesto which it would be placing before the public as ‘affidavit’,  which has been duly certified by the Notary to fulfill the promises made to the people said AAP State Coordinator Sanket Thakur while addressing media persons here on Wednesday.

The issues for different State Assembly constituencies would be different for which separate affidavits would be given, he said.

This apart, Raipur (West) candidate Uttam Jaiswal, Raipur (South) candidate Munna Bisen, Raipur (North) candidate Yogendra Sen and Raipur (Rural) candidate Dr Sanket Thakur also released 12-point affidavit at the press conference.

For spending the MLA fund, ‘Swaraj Model’ would be adopted for which ‘Street Committee’ and Village Panchayat would be strengthened; each house would have water, cleanliness along with skill centre, Thakur said.

The key points of the affidavit are free power in each village, PESA and Forest Right Act in 5th Schedule, paddy procurement at rate of Rs 2,600 per quintal on Minimum Support Price (MSP), compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre in case of crop loss, tribal development,stringent laws for protection of forest, water and land, total prohibition in State, development of small, cottage, forest and agriculture based industries along with training to youth in these sectors for unemployed youth to ensure employment.

The other promises are Rs 2 lakh interest free loan, Rs 415 minimum wages for labourers, establishing and re-introducing State Transport in lines of New Delhi reduction of electricity bills to half, free water upto 20,000 litres, to raise oldage pension from Rs 300 to Rs 2,500, appointment of Lokayukta for ending corruption, seizure of assets of chit fund companies and corrupt to repay the victims, in lines of Delhi Government for education and health services in each village school and Village Clinic would be opened.

If AAP forms Government then Sarpanch to get Rs 20,000, Deputy Sarpanch Rs 10,000, Panch Rs 5,000 and all corporators to get Rs 20,000 each as honorarium and immediate filling of vacant posts inGovernment departments to end contract system with immediate effect, he said.

He said that the party would, from September 15, commence door to door campaign in all the State Assembly constituencies and motivate them for bring up a change.
