Tuesday, 13 November 2018 | PNS | KHORDHA

Unidentified miscreants uprooted a Tata Indicash Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and decamped with the cash in Tulasipur under the Town police station in the district on Sunday night.

According to sources, in the morning locals spotted that the machine had been dismantled. “I heard some noise late night yesterday. It is suspected that a group of miscreants, who had come in a four wheeler, uprooted the machine.

The incident took place at around 1 am,” said village guard Surendra Nayak. “On Friday, there was a closing balance of Rs 3 lakh. We suspect the miscreants have looted around Rs 2 lakh cash,” informed ATM officer of Tata Indicash Sanjay Mohanty.

Meanwhile, police started an investigation into the incident.
