Bollywood maestros to entertain audience

Two popular Bollywood Playback singers – Kavita Krishnamurthy and Suresh Wadkar have been invited to entertain the public with their heartwarming musical tunes on November 15. The iconic musicians have been ruling the Hindi Film Industry since mid 80’s and early 90’s. Even today, these singers hold a remarkable position among the members of musical fraternity of Indian cinema maintaining a harmonious concord with the new talents while inspiring several others.

With just a few days left for Jharkhand – the land of the forests to enter in its 19th year, the State government is on its last legs of preparation ensuring world class arrangements at the main venue. The main programme of the 18th Statehood Celebration Day will be organised amid much fanfare here in the State Capital.

The young State carved out of Bihar in 2000 has taken a giant leap in different sectors witnessing several highs and lows. Portraying the vision of the State, a series of activities have been planned to mark the occasion. Besides several announcements on the Day, the State government has planned a glittering evening for the people.

The mega event will be organised at the Morhabadi Ground located in the heart of the city. Starting from Prabhat Pheri in the morning, the main function will be followed by the cultural night where the audiences will also get to witness the blend of a few popular folk art forms. The specialties of different States ranging from Assam’s Bihu Dance, Bihar’s Kajari song, Gujarat’s Dandiya, West Bengal’s folk dance will mesmerize the audiences at the district level cultural event.

Also, a short film on Jharkhand’s achievement on two important frontages – Rural Electrification and Open Defecation Free (ODF) will screened during the celebration here. Major avenues, recreational sites, government buildings have been adorned with colourful minuscule lighting.

“The State is gearing up to celebrate the 18th Foundation Day in style with a promise to brighten up the lives of thousands of residents who are yet to be linked with the course of development. From decorating the main city squares to ensuring special arrangements for public, the authorities are leaving no stone unturned to make November 15 – a memorable day. Different theme based events have been planned district wise for the upcoming celebration,” said District PRO, Isha Khandelwal.

Also, a felicitation ceremony will be organised to honour the efforts of all those persons who have achieved a distinct place in their respective domains. Further, in the first of its kind attempt, a separate collage of each department focusing on its achievements, work progress, future goals, innovative models will be placed in front of the respective departments at Secretariat. The attempt has been taken to make the public familiar with the work of different departments in the past 18 years.
