As per the observations of Dr RK Jenamani, MeT Scientist, Palam and Delhi Airport (Ministry of Earth Sciences) and Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), in this season, Delhi has still no episodic longer persistence smog like 2012, 2016 and 2017 occurred in same period over Delhi in 25 October-20 November.

Explaining the climate conditions and wind speed, Dr Jenamani further, said that a cyclone formed at Bay of Bengal in this peak part of season in November 11 to November 15 and before a low was in November 5- November 8 and remained active.
Light rains in some parts of the national capital led a decline in temperatures in the city. The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 14.2 degrees Celsius, also a notch above the season's average, said a Met department official.
The Safdarjung observatory, the recording of which is considered the official figure for the city, received 0.5 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 5.30 AM. The humidity oscillated between 91 and 52 per cent.
The Met office has forecast overcast skies, light rain and thundershowers for Wednesday."The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 28 and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said. On Monday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 30.2 and 14.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
