In order to mark the World Children Day– ‘Go blue for every child’ campaign is being carried out by Changeloomers in Harda with the support of Synergy organization in collaboration with UNICEF.

This Child Rights Campaign is the part of Youth for children project in which various activities are being conducted at different places in Harda district from November 14 to 20.

Various activities like street plays, flash mob, kabaddi match, cricket match for girls, painting competitions, wall paintings and promotion of local sports are being organized at different places of Harda.

As part of this campaign, a Kabaddi Match has been organized for girls in Gaurav Vidhya Niketan , Rehatgaon village . 8 Teams from 8 villages - Dhanpad, Rehatgaon, Rasalpur and Pandarmati villages participated in the match. More than 400 children, youth and village dwellers took part in the event as spectators.

Organizing kabaddi for girls is the symbol of breaking the boundaries of patriarchy which give priority to boys even in the sports. Enthusiastic energy and the way through which girls were playing wonderful games, have shown their triumph & freedom over male dominated society which seizes their access towards playground.

The patriarchal mindset of the society considers girls to be weak, but such games give a strong message of equality in the society, said Sarpanch Om Agrawal from Rehatgaon. Principal of Gaurav School also participated as match president in the event. At the end of the event, prize were also distributed by the guest.
