In its bid to redress the grievances of the residents on the spot, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to organise “Suvidha Camps” on every second and forth Saturday every month. These facilities would be available from 10.30 to 13.30 at NDMC headquarters at Palika Kendra in New Delhi.
In order to ensure timely disposal of the grievances related to the citizen centric services without any lapses and negligence, all the concerned officers of the ‘Civic Services Departments’ (CSD) has been directed to be present in these camps, a senior NDMC official said.
The official said that the first such camp would be organised on December 8, wherein the head of the CSD namely civil engineering, commercial, health licensing, enforcement, medical services and welfare departments would be available on the occasion to work out and settle the grievances of the citizens of New Delhi area , then and there.
To ensure active participation, the civic body has started making people aware of the initiative. “Residence Welfare Association and Market Traders Associations are being informed by sending text with proper date, time and venue so that they can approach the authority without any problem,” he said. He further said that a help desk would be set-up at these camps with purpose to motivate people to download NDMC mobile App “NDMC 311”.
