A meeting of recently formulated executive body of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) is now going to be held at Bilaspur on Thursday.
The meeting proposed to be held at state capital has been shifted to Bilaspur after the police cane charging incident.
AICC’s Chhattisgarh In-charge P.L. Punia would be specially arriving in Bilaspur to attend the meeting. After the incident CGPCC Chief Bhupesh Baghel was called by party high command to New Delhi and he is returning with Punia in the city to attend the meeting on Thursday.
Notably, this would be the maiden meeting of Executive body after a jumbo working committee was formed as per the orders by AICC a couple of days ago.
It is expected that the newly inducted office bearers of the CGPCC would be assigned the job ahead of the Assembly polls.
Similarly, the District Congress Presidents have also been called in the meeting and they too would be given the assignment to ensure the victory of candidates in their respective Assembly constituencies.
