Couple names two-day old infant as ‘Vidhaan’

Wednesday, 21 November 2018 | Staff Reporter | Jashpur

In Jashpur district, a couple came to vote accompanied by their two-day old new-born.

As the boy was born just two-days before  polling, the parents have named him as ‘Vidhaan’.

Meena Pahadiya and her husband Krishna Pahadiya belonging to a tribe from village Navapara had arrived with their just two-days-old infant at polling centre number-53 at  Pandrapat coming under Jashpur Assembly constituency.

Proudly showing the ink mark on her index finger, Meena Pahariya said that one gets to cast the vote once in five years. So, one can take the pain to arrive and do it. Democracy is a festival and “I am proud to register my vote to celebrate it.”

She added, “Every citizen should participate to elect the Government and everyone should come forward to exercise their franchise.
