Expelled BJD leader Damodar Rout has reiterated his claim on forming a new political party soon.
Rout told reporters that the new party would “fight against corruption, gross injustice and misrule” in the State.
The party would follow the principles and ideologies of veteran leader late Biju Patnaik, he said.
However, he denied possibility of this outfit’s alliance with any other political party.
A meeting would be held for formation of the party on November 9 and 10, following which a formal announcement in this regard would be made at a Press meet on November 11 or 12, Rout informed.
He alleged that the BJD Government is against formation of a new regional party and trying to create dissension among the leaders who are keen to join it.
Rout claimed that another disgraced BJD leader and former Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda is interested in joining the proposed party.
Notably, Rout had earlier stated that the new party would come into being by the end of October.
