DGP office asked to finalise places for new police stns

On the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to further strengthen the police force, the Home department has asked the office of Director General of Police to finalise the places where 36 new police stations and 13 police outposts are to be created in 23 districts in addition to the existing ones.

The Home department has also sent the names of the Assembly constituencies or the areas where the new police set-ups will come soon.

The DGP office will now seek a report from the districts concerned and forward the proposal to the state government for final announcement.

Sources said that three of the new police stations will come up in Loni, Sahibabad and Moradnagar Assembly constituencies of Ghaziabad district.

In Lucknow, Sarojininagar and Bakshi Ka Talab Assembly areas will have new police stations.  Similarly, Noida City and Dadri Assembly constituency will have one new police stations each in Gautam Buddha Nagar.

The sources further said that Charra and Iglas assembly constituencies in Aligarh, Palia and Singhasad in Lakhimpur Kheri, Sohratgarh and Domariyaganj in Siddharthnagar, Misrikh and Sitapur Sadar in Sitapur, Uttraula and Balrampur in Balrampur, Aalapur and Mehndawal in Sant Kabir Nagar, Sikendrabad in Bulandshahr, Tundla in Firozabad, Vishwanathganj in Pratapgarh, Rasoolabad in Kanpur Dehat, Bithoor in Kanpur City, Hasanpur in Amroha,  Mathura in Mathura, Agra North in Agra, Unnao, Amethi, Sirathu in Kaushambi, Nanpara in Bahraich, and Shravasti assembly constituency in Shravasti will also have new police stations soon.

The sources said that besides 36 new police stations, 13 new police outposts will also come up — two each in Mathura and Sambhal, one each in Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pratapgarh, Farrukhabad, Barabanki, Balrampur, Gonda, Etmadpur and Fatehabad in Agra.
