Palamu DIG Vipul Shukla inaugurated Cyber Cell in Garhwa on Wednesday. After the inauguration, the DIG said that police will be able to monitor cyber crime from now onwards. The public will also be able to register cyber crime related complaints in Cyber Cell.
He further said that the public needs to be made aware.
“If someone calls on phone and asks your bank details or Aadhaar number, then you should not give it to him. If the public becomes aware then cyber crime will be curbed automatically,” he added.
Later, the DIG chaired a meeting with the bank officials and took information regarding the safety of the bank. He instructed all the Branch Managers that their CCTV cameras at bank should always be operational.
DIG also held a review meeting with the police officials he instructed them to keep an eye on trouble-mongers in the festival festivals and asked them to be cautious. Garhwa SP Shivani Tiwari said that the cyber cell will be run under the supervision of DSP Head Quarter and the police inspectors will be its member.
The SP further said that for filing of compliant on cyber cell police has been released Mobile number 76439 84021. On this number, the public can register their own Complaint and can also give WhatsApp messages.
