The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University here would hold its 14th Annual Convocation on November 10. Students of the 2017-18 graduating batch from all streams would receive their degrees.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal would address the students as chief guest while Prof Ernesto Kahan, Sr. Vice-President, World Academy of Arts & Culture (WAAC), USA, (recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize) would grace the ceremony as chief speaker.
Besides Prof Kahan, the university would honour six other eminent personalities from different walks of life with Honoris Causa degrees.
They are The Rt. Hon. The Baroness Usha Kumari Prashar, UK (D.Litt.); Niklaus-Samuel Gugger, Member of Swiss Parliament (D.Litt.); Prabhu Gaur Gopal Das, Life Coach, Monk & Spiritual Motivational Speaker (D.Litt.); Kabir Bedi, Indian film personality (D.Litt.); Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh (D.Litt.); and Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo, Director, Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, Manipur (D.Sc.).
