Haryana to be made stray cattle-free by Jan 2019

Haryana Government has announced that the state will be made stray cattle-free by January 26, 2019.

Strict actions would be taken against those, whose cattle are found roaming on the roads and fine would also be imposed on them, said Rakesh Gupta Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, while presiding over a meeting here.

He said that further action plan would be prepared keeping in view the performance of those districts which are doing well in making their district stray cattle-free. Every month, discussion would be held with the concerned officers in this regard.

Gupta also said that Haryana roads will be made pothole free by January 2019.

Reviewing Harpath App, Gupta said that 22,000 complaints have been received so far through this App, out of which maximum complaints i.e. 10,000 pertains to Urban Local Bodies.

He directed the concerned officers to resolve these complaints as soon as possible.

Under Haryana Vision Zero scheme, Gupta directed the officers to ensure that roads are properly painted for ensuring visibility on roads for safe movement of traffic.

He directed all the concerned nodal officers to work on road safety in a time bound manner and also attend the meeting of the concerned deputy commissioners.

On road safety, he directed the officers of those districts which do not have traffic control room and CCTV cameras to ensure setting up of the same, at the earliest.

He said that the facility of e-challan and e-payment would be initiated in selected 12 districts and after their successful implementation, the facility would also be implemented in other districts. In this scheme, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic would be the nodal officer. 

While reviewing Saksham Haryana work, he directed the concerned nodal officers of Saksham Haryana Scheme to co-ordinate with the industries on regular basis.

Reviewing the Shivdhams renovation Scheme, he asked the officers to collect fifty percent amount through CSR or people from the community groups so that people can get the prescribed facilities as per the scheme. Under this scheme basic facilities like boundary wall, drinking water, sheds and road would be provided for the cremation grounds.

Regarding Swachh Survekshan scheme, he said that all the deputy commissioners should work to make state ODF+ (open defecation free) and ODF++.

All Antyodaya Bhawan will be made functional by November 30 in every district of the state and respective district social welfare officer will be responsible for establishing these under the guidance of the concerned deputy commissioners,  Gupta said.

While giving directions to complete the work of street lights and toilets under Jagriti Abhiyan, he said that the Chief Minister has desired that the work under the Abhiyan should be completed at the earliest and the employees of Transport Department should be imparted training to behave well with women.
