Niranjan greets people on Dussehra
Bhubaneswar: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik on Tuesday greeted the people of Odisha on the occasion of Navaratra and Dussehra. As this religious festival represents the victory of god over evil, Goddess Durga may end the cruelty, corruption and poverty in the society, he prayed. Everybody should observe the festival with joy and discipline and use of plastic should be banned on this occasion, Patnaik urged.
Sunidhi Chauhan to rock in XIMB Xpressions
Bhubaneswar: The Xpressions, the three-day annual fest of the XIMB, one of the biggest Management-Cultural festivals of India, is going to be held from November 16 to 18. The three days are packed with business simulation games, cultural activities, fun field games, art exhibitions, and much more. AMRI distributes first-aid kits to Puja Mandaps
Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the festive session, the AMRI Hospitals distributed special first-aid boxes to various Puja Mandaps across the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena handed over the AMRI Hospitals special first-aid kit to Khannagar Puja Committee, Cuttack in the presence of Cuttack MP Dr Bhartruhari Mahatab. AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar unit-head and VP CLN Reddy said the first-aid treatment facilities are highly necessary in all Puja Mandaps to meet untoward situations during the festive sessions.
Handwashing Day observed in Salia Sahi
Bhubaneswar: The My Heart in association with Project Hope and Unilever observed the Global Handwashing Day 2018 at Salia Sahi here on Tuesday in which many ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, ANMs and around 200 mothers of the Salia Sahi slum participated. Chief guest BMC Mayor AN Jena enlightened the participants about the benefits of handwashing with soap and how in day-to-day life it protects one from transmission of various bacteria and diseases. City Health Officer Dr RC Rout, local Corporators Jhunubala Dei, Basanti Singh, Premananda Jena and Sanjay Sethi urged mothers to practise handwashing in their families.
Nokia 3.1 Plus to be available from Oct 19
Bhubaneswar: The HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, announced the Nokia 3.1 Plus in India here recently. The Nokia 3.1 Plus comes in Blue, White and Baltic colours and would be available at price of Rs 11,499 from October 19 across top mobile retailers in India and on Nokia.com/phones. The HMD Global also announced that the Nokia 8110 will now be available in India with two colours from October 24. The phone would be available at price of Rs 5,999.
