Life certificate for EPFO pensioners

Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has stated that all pensioners of Jharkhand receiving pension under Employee Pension Scheme 1995 (or Old Family Pension Scheme 1971) must submit their digital Life Certificate/ No- Re-Marriage Certificate by December 31, 2018 or else their pension will be stopped from January 2019. In order to encourage Digital India programme, the government has changed physical life certificate to a digital one and it is upon the banks to provide a facility for updating the same. In case a bank does not provide this facility, the pensioner can file a complaint at Pg.portal.gov.in- CPGRAM, PMO, doppw.gov.in- CPENGRAMS.

Anand Bhushan at Bishop Westcott

Academic Advisor to Governor Anand Bhushan attended the annual sports meet of Bishop Westcott Boys’ School, Namkom on Wednesday as the Chief Guest. Bhushan during his address motivated the young minds to strive for excellence in their selected field. “Success belongs to those who work hard with passion. Success is not confined to those who belong to blue blood. To achieve great heights in life, one must move forward with zeal irrespective of any constraint that is bound to come in life,” said Bhushan. Bhushan appreciated the efforts of the students and school management in organising the annual sport meet- 2018-19 successfully.

Saarang 2018 concludes

Students of Mass Communication and Video Production (MCVP) alongwith English and Physics Departments of Gossner College bagged the maximum prizes in the list of events organized during three day college youth fest 'Saarang 2018' which concluded on Wednesday. Notably, last year MCVP undergraduate department maintained the top position in gathering most awards.  Principal SK Ecka congratulated the winners and conveyed his best wishes on this occasion. The programme ended with joy and fervour.
