A 10-year-old child was injured after a blast took place at Rai Tank near Saria locality in Giridih district here on Monday afternoon, Police said. Some people got minor injuries, when they were cleaning the tank in view of Chhath festival of which, explosion took place.The bomb disposal squad of CID reached the spot. The nature of the explosives is yet to be ascertained. Police called it a “low intensity” blast. According to Saria police and bomb disposal squad, multiple crude bombs were kept inside a jute bag and place near tank. No terror or extremist link could be established so far. Soon after information, local police rushed to the spot. Chances of factional feud in local unsocial elements being a reason behind the blast cannot be ruled out either.
