Durga Puja is being celebrated at Badapadia here by the Paradip Port Banik Sangha with a series of devotional and cultural programmes.
On the Mahasaptami on Wednesday, hundreds of devotees visited the puja mandap. PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy also visited the mandap with his family.
Spiritual speaker Pandit Jitu Dash began his popular ‘Sadhubani’ discourses from Wednesday evening which will continue on Thursday at the Port Banik Sangha premises.
The Port Banik Sangha’s is the only puja mandap in the entire port township. The puja mandap has attractive designs and the whole market is decorated with colourful lights.
The immersion ceremony will be held on October 20. All programmes are organised by Banik Sangha president Santosh Kumar Pattnaik.
