Railway Police nab five miscreants planning robbery

The Government Railway Police of Bhopal has nabbed five persons who were planning dacoity in trains on Monday and recovered a country made pistol, three sharp edged weapons from their possession.

The GRP police acted swiftly after they got tip off regarding the miscreants and were nabbed during a special checking drive at Bhopal railway station platforms and premises.

Initially the nabbed miscreants tried to mislead but later accepted planning dacoity. The five were identified as Ashfaq Khan of Abbas Nagar, Shanu alias Siraj of Nishatpura, Nitesh alias Raj Kapoor Yadav of Bazaria, Mohd Ubez of Abbas Nagar and Ballu Ahirwar of Vidisha district.

The police have registered a case under section 399 and 402 of the IPC and started further investigation. The crime record of the nabbed miscreants would be investigated.

During the investigation accused confessed that they have committed robbery in Jaipur-Chennai Express train on November 12. More crimes would be revealed in the further investigation.

Meanwhile, GRP Bhopal nabbed a 50-year-old man and recovered Rs 17.20 lakh cash during checking drive; nabbed person is goldsmith and failed to provide details of the money.

According to the police Rajendra Jain is a Sagar resident and is goldsmith and was scheduled to travel to Sagar by Rajdhani express and it was found that he was carrying Rs 50 lakh cash.

The police informed Income Tax officials. Police officials said that the IT officials are working to check the details of the cash with the person and would reveal the information.
