Slum students rally appeal to cast vote

The students of slum school, ‘the Pen India’ located in Sapera basti Bhaniyawala took out a rally on Wednesday and appeal people to exercise their franchise in the upcoming urban local bodies elections . Holding placards like ‘ Dear Uncle and Aunty Please Vote’ and ‘ Vote to eradicate illiteracy’ the students impressed the passersby’s. The students also organised a programme on the occasion of Children’s day in their school. Offering floral tributes to first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru on his birth anniversary, the patron of the school Prakash Keshaviah said that it is necessary that everyone should vote for development and strengthening democracy. He said that the school offers free education to poor students. The programme was also attended by Anup Rawat, Santosh Budakoti and teachers of the slum school.
