The State administration made changes in the responsibilities of more than a dozen IAS officers and other officials in public interest on Monday.
Additional Chief Secretary Ranvir Singh was also given the responsibilities of minority welfare, chairman of Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation and chairman of Multipurpose Finance Development Corporation. Similarly, additional chief secretary Om Prakash was also given the responsibilities of skill development and employment. In addition to her present departments, principal secretary Manisha Panwar was also given charge of Panchayati Raj and made commissioner of rural development. Secretary Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh was also given the departments of language, census, Sanskrit education, Hindi academy secretary and Bhasha Sansthan director.
Similarly, in addition to his present responsibilities, secretary Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu was also made the secretary of science and technology while secretary Vijay Kumar Dhaundiyal was also given the responsibility of programme implementation with the charge of MWWDC chairman and MFDC chairman being shifted from him. Secretary (in charge) Ranjit Kumar Sinha was also given the responsibility of secretary (in charge) of biotechnology. While the charge of additional secretary, social welfare and MFDC managing director was removed from additional secretary V Shanmugam, he was given the responsibility of programme manager, PIU (Irrigation), Bridges and Slopes, UDRP-AF.
Additional Secretary Yugal Kishore Pant was given the responsibility of medical education in addition to his existing responsibilities. Additional secretary BS Manral was made project director, Uttarakhand Urban Sector Development Agency (ADB) while additional secretary Ram Vilas Yadav was made managing director of MFDC. In addition to agriculture and horticulture, additional secretary Ashish Joshi was also given Home. Similarly, changes were also made in the responsibilities of 13 other officers by the state administration.
