Unrest prevailed in the Khallikote Cluster University here on Thursday as students locked the main gate of university in protest against alleged wrong evaluation of semester answer papers.
The students alleged that about 60 to 70 per cent students have got D and F grade in the third semester examination due to wrong valuation by the authorities.
They also alleged that the authorities have knowingly made the students fail as the students’ union elections are round the corner.
They also alleged that the students have been given fail marks, i.e 6 and 8, in practical examinations.
Due to the unrest, the Plus Three third and fifth semester examinations were also cancelled.
College Principal Dr TK Satpathy reached the spot and assured the students ofappropriate steps following which the students called off the protest. However, he said later that there were no irregularities in in evaluation of answer sheets.
Dr Satpathy also said a notification would be taken out on Saturday for revaluation and students can apply for it.
Similarly, students of Gopalpur College held protest against the wrong evaluation of the semester examination and demanded revaluation.
