To promote technical education and skill development in Punjab by setting up five Centers For Innovation, Invention nd Incubation (CIIITs) in the state, the IK Gujral-Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tata Technologies — a global engineering services provider.
Informing this, Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Training and Employment Generation Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday said that CIIITs, dedicated to Sikhs’ first master Guru Nanak Dev would be set up at Sultanpur Lodhi and IKG PTU Main Campus, Kapurthala, and those dedicated to Sikhs’ tenth master Guru Gobind Singh would be set up at Chamkaur Sahib and IKGPTU Campus Ladowali, Jalandhar.
Channi, after signing of the MoU, said that Tata Technologies and IKGPTU have joined hands to uplift and promote technical education in the state.
