Instrumentation Engineering is specialised branch of Electrical and Electronic engineering which focuses on the principle and operation of measuring instruments. These are used in design and configuration of automated systems.

The engineers work in industries with automated processes like chemical or manufacturing plants. The engineers can find jobs in find jobs in R&D units of public and private sectors, heavy industries like thermal power stations, steel plants, refineries, cement and fertiliser plants.
