In a new development the Election Commission of India has directed the Bengal Chief Electoral Officer to send a report on an alleged biopic on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee scheduled to be released early next month.
The ECI move came after the CPI(M) and the BJP approached the ECI against the release of the movie titled “Baghini(Tigress).” Like the biopic on the Prime Minister had been stopped the “ECI has been approached to stop the release of this movie also till the election process is over,” CPI(M) central committee member Nilotpal Basu said.
