We are a week into 2019 and what better way to kickstart it but on a healthy note with new fitness goals. ROSHANI DEVI share healthy New Year resolutions that are easy to followand keep

Most New Year resolutions get broke in the first week itself. And if they are related to health and lifestyle changes, it becomes even more difficult to not only follow them, but also keep them. Here are a few tips that one can follow for a better lifestyle.

Eat more vegetables. Including veggies in your daily diet may be difficult if you are a non-vegetarian. But an easy option is to add the vegetables to the meats.

For example, one can make paalak and mutton or even gobhi with keema. Not only will the body get more vitamins and minerals present in the veggies, the taste is great too.

We all know the benefits of drinking more water. Make it a point to reach out for a glass of water every hour. Invest in a water bottle that will monitor your water intake and carry it to office so that you drink more than eight glasses a day.

Swap junk food. Don’t give up on your favourite food, just swap it for healthier eating. For example, instead of fried chips go for baked.

Most of us don’t visit a doctor when we are hale and hearty. This year, make sure that you visit one for that yearly check-up.

Mental health is just as important. Start meditation.
