‘Dhritarashtra Digvijay’ staged at Tribal Museum

Under Abhinayan series a play Dhritarashtra Digvijay was staged at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum. The play was performed here on Friday.

The play was directed by Atul Bhuiyan from Assam.

At the center of the drama is Dhritarashtra, who is fully immersed in the worship of Lord Vishnu. Pleased with the penance of Dhritarashtra, when Lord asks him to ask for a bride, Dhritarashtra asks Vishnu to have his eyesight for four months. After getting his vision for four months, Dhritarashtra goes on to conquer the world.

Dhritarashtra accompanies him during the world victory. During this period Dhritarashtra conquers many big states and slays many demons with his wisdom. In this play, Dhritarashtra's penance and after that Digvijay's desire was beautifully presented by the actors on stage.

Through this play, the artists inspired us to strengthen our morale, to be full of confidence and to be duty-bound by their artistic acting skills.

During the theatrical performance, Bijit Kalita in the role of narrator on stage and Bikash, Sourav, Durba Bora, Badhujya, Jugesh Ankur Bora, Jayanta, Keshav Hemanta and Munna etc. in the roles of other characters mesmerized the audience with their acting skills.

During the presentation, Hemanta Gogoi and Bishal performed in Khola recital, Bitul in flute recital, Munna and Shyamal in rhythm recital and Bijit Kalita and Hemanta Gogoi in singing. Atul Bhuyan directed this theatrical performance. Atul Bhuyan has been associated with the field of Rang Karma for many years. Atul Bhuyan has directed many productions as well as acted.
