It was directed by  Jitendra Tatwal in a dramatic form with his talent. The  play begins with  Raja Bhartruhari asks his Prime Minister to take a quick look at the kingdoms around snd inform him. The minister informs him that everyone is so happy in the kingdom. Humans are also happy, goats and lions are drinking water at the same pond.  After this the king plans for hunting. Before his departure, his wife Rani Pingala expresses her concern, but he explains Pingala and leaves the forest for hunting. After returning from there, the king seems very sad. When the queen asked the cause, he said that when he went on a hunt, he saw a vulture in bad condition. To save his lifd he gave all his water to vulture but could not save him.  He tells his queen, "When the last rites are  performed of any man, I see that the number of tales in the thousands of people becomes sati on their husband's pyre. I am surprised and amazed by the truth of the jungle creatures." On this the queen says that  it is nothing but real sati where you have seen now. Then Maharaj asks the queen what is the real sati?

In next scene a Bhil enters the play who asks king  for help. The King leaves to the forest to help him. On the way, the king asks his minister to deliver a fake news to   queen Pingala saying that a mad lion has killed him. Now the king is not in this world. When the queen hears this, she  jumps over the fort and gives her life.

On the other side, in the jungle, the king sees a black deer with his hundred wives, which is slaughtered by the king. After killing his wife, the deer cursed the king. In such a situation, the king receives the news about queen after which the king is even more disturbed due to the misery. Among these events, when the king meets Guru Gorakhnath, he gives life to the deer and queen pingala by the power of his penance.
