13 police personnel felicitated for their bravery

In order to appreciate police personnel for their bravery in the last one year, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Action and Research Society on Wednesday felicitated 13 district police personnel. During this programme, founder of the society MLA Ganesh Joshi said that the work done by police department is a thankless job. It is necessary to appreciate good work of police administration also. Police personnel stay active even during festival time. Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Arun Mohan Joshi said that it is easy to blame police for every bad thing that is happening around. Felicitations like these help motivate the force working in the field.

From Raipur police station sub inspector Manohar Singh Rawat, constable Rakesh Dimri, constable Manmohan Negi, constable Pankaj Kumar and constable Ranjeet Rana were felicitated for the bravery they showed while saving four lives at Saung river in Maldevta on August 18. From Raipur police station constable Kesar Singh Panwar and constable Surendra Singh Khantwal were felicitated for the bravery they showed by saving four lives from a fire accident that occurred in a tent house at Nehrugram area on June 2. From Raipur police station constable Faizan Ali and constable Rajesh Kumar were felicitated for the bravery they showed by saving six lives including three minors from a fire accident at a house in Dashmesh Vihar on July 6.

From city Kotwali constable Pradeep Kumar and constable Pankaj Mallasi were felicitated for the bravery they showed in handling the disturbing situation that arose between two communities during a rally on July 5. They informed senior officers in time because of which police department was able to take precautions before the differences could escalate further.

From Raipur police station constable Rajesh Kumar was felicitated for saving a victim of domestic violence while she was being beaten by her husband on August 25. The drunken husband tried to attack his wife with a Khukri, but the victim was saved by the timely intervention of constable Kumar.
