Fifteen Maoists including a woman Naxal carrying a reward of Rs one lakh on her, shun violence and surrendered before police with arms in Bijapur, police said here on Sunday. They surrendered ultras have been identified as Raju Wacham (25), Sukku Pallo (25), Ova Ram Wacham (45), Raju Ram Wacham (24), Rainu Wacham (33), Sukku Wacham (40) s/o Kirwa Wacham, Banjaram Gota (35), Sukku Vacham (40) s/o Jogi Wacham, Budhri Telam (25), Mandi Telam (29), Vadde Shankar (27), Irpe Wacham (24), Jurri Pallo (25), Sunita Wacham (25) and Jimmo Wacham (25), Bijapur Superintendent of Police Gowardhan Thakur told reporters. Those surrendered included nine men and six women Maoists. Three men have been surrendered with arms. The woman naxal identified as Irpe Vacham is commander of Naxal Chetna Natya Mandali (CNM) and carried reward of Rs one lakh on her head. All the surrendered Maoists will be provided facilities under the surrender and rehabilitation policy of state government, Thakur said while adding immediate assistance of Rs 10,000 was also provided to each of the surrendered Maoists.
