2 State tennis players in ‘Khelo India School Games 2019’

Two tennis players from Chhattisgarh-- one in under 17 and other in under 14 category are participating in the ‘Khelo India School Games-2019’ being held at Pune, Maharashtra. The event will conclude on January 20.

As per information, State winner Sakshi Mishra, class XIth student of NH Goyal School in under 17 category and Paakhi Bhatt class 9th student of Dronacharya School in under 14 category are participating in doubles event. Their match is scheduled on January 16 against Maharashtra. Team manager and coach is Preeti Vyas .

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced cash prizes for winners in Khelo India.

The gold winner will get Rs 2 lakh cash, silver medalist to get Rs 1.5 lakh and bronze medal winner will get Rs 1 lakh cash. The team winners, each player who wins gold, silver and bronze will get Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75000 and Rs 50,000 cash respectively.

Under the Khelo India Youth Games, Chhattisgarh for the first time won gold medal through badminton player Akarshi Kashyap, swimmer Shivansh Sahu and others.
