Nishatpura police have nabbed three drug peddlers from two different places on Monday evening and recovered cannabis worth Rs 1 lakh possession.

Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding two men carrying drugs were nabbed near Pipalia Baaz road and when they were 6 kg of Cannabis was recovered from their possession.

The accused were identified as Shubham and Nitesh  and details of procurement and delivery of the drugs would be searched in the further investigation.

The details of the accused would be searched by the police. The drugs recovered from their possession were worth Rs 70000.

After the initial investigation police have registered a case under relevant sections.

The source of the drugs and their scheduled delivery to the customer in the city and nearby areas would be investigation.

In the initial investigation it was found that the accused was scheduled to deliver the drugs in the city but the person who was scheduled to receive the drugs remains unidentified and were nabbed before the drugs could be sold. 

The accused are involved in drug trafficking for the past three years to make fast money.

Meanwhile another woman drug peddler was nabbed near Ring Garden late in the evening and recovered drugs weighing 2.8 kg; police have started investigation. Police nabbed a woman drug peddler identified as Urmila Thakur carrying a bag and when it was checked drugs were recovered.

Police have registered a case under sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act and have started further investigation.
