52-year-old cop dies at Wazirabad training centre

A 52-year-old Delhi police personnel who had gone for training at Police Training Centre in Wazirabad died during treatment at Jag Parvesh hospital after he had complained about uneasiness on Tuesday night.

The  deceased identified as Suresh Kaushik who was undergoing training as an assistant sub-inspector of police at the training centre since April 1.

“Kaushik died during treatment at the hospital. No foul play is suspected. This was a promotional and routine training which was for three months,” said the senior police official.

Meanwhile the family member of Suresh alleged that he had health issue related to heart but despite knowing his health issue he was sent for training.

“Suresh was a heart patient and we had informed department regarding his condition before they had sent him for training. Suresh was taken to hospital 40 minutes late. If he was taken to hospital on right time he would be with us today,” said a relative.

Suresh had joined Delhi Police as a constable in 1988. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter.
