Architects pledge to make Raipur plastic free

Under banner of Raipur Chapter of Architect’s Association, Architects of   capital city on the occasion of World Architecture Day on Monday took pledge to make the capital city plastic free by promoting alternatives of     single-use plastic.

District Collector Dr S. Bharatidasan administrated oath to the architects at a function in National Institute of Technology (NIT) premises.

Later, the architects also take out a bike rally in major roads of the city to create awareness against single use plastic.

Prof Mukund Humbarde flagged off the rally from NIT premises which traversed through Rajkumar College, Lakhenagar Chowk, Purani Basti, Budhapara, Sapre School, Municipal Corporation Office Netaji Subhash Stadium, Shastri Chowk, and Shankar Nagar and culminated at Marine Drive Telibandha.

A team of Raipur Smart City Limited also accompanied architects in their rally.
