Miscreants targeted a factory and escaped with batteries worth Rs 1 lakh at Kareem Baksh Colony under Gautam Nagar police station area.

According to the police, the victim Shoaib Qureshi received information that locks of the factory were broken and batteries were burgled. The incident took place on Wednesday. In his complaint victim stated that 43 batteries were burgled. The total loss in the burglary was around Rs 1 lakh.

The victim is resident of the Ashoka Garden and on Wednesday he received information that locks of shop were broken and goods were burgled.

Based on the complaint after preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started searching for the miscreant. Police would investigate CCTV footages of cameras installed at the factory and nearby areas.

Meanwhile gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 90000 were burgled from house of a retired MPSEB employee at  Ayodhya Nagar; victim returned on Thursday and found valuables were burgled.

According to the police the victim Ghanshyam Sarathe had gone to meet his son in Hyderabad and when he returned in the morning on Thursday the locks of the main door were found broken and on entering the house it was found ransacked.

A complaint was lodged with the Ayodhya Nagar police regarding the burglary and in the complaint victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry and Rs 8000 cash were burgled. The total loss in the burglary is around Rs 90000.Police have started further investiga.
