Bhatt & Prakash meet Bhartwan

As part of the national level public awareness and contact programme of the BJP regarding the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A from Jammu & Kashmir, BJP State president Ajay Bhatt and national joint general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash met noted folk singer Pritam Bhartwan on Sunday.

They presented him literature and informed him in detail about the importance of the decision taken by the Government.

Reaching the folk singer’s residence, they spoke of the political background of Articles 370 and 35 A, also referring to the negative effects it was exerting on Jammu & Kashmir and the rest of India.

They also informed him about the measures being taken by the Central Government for the development of Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Expressing his views, Bhartwan said that he was in Birmingham when he had received news of the abrogation of Article 370 which had turned his eyes moist. He recalled that he was so happy to learn of the development that he sang a Jagar.
