BJP MP Sao seeks air connectivity for Bilaspur

Thursday, 27 June 2019 | Staff Reporter | BILASPUR

Member of Parliament Arun Sao during zero hour in Lok Sabha on Wednesday sought air connectivity for Bilaspur, his parliamentary constituency.

To make his point, Sao pointed out that Bilaspur is the second largest city of Chhattisgarh and it houses High Court, Headquarters of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Central University, Railway Zone, NTPC Power plant, apart from other industries in the district.

He added that as per the demand of local residents, the earlier BJP government in the state had developed Chakarbhata airstrip as airport. But due to some technical reason the work was delayed.

Sao urged to resolve the technical issue and commence the flight services from Bilaspur, which will benefit the people of the region.
