BJP only party with leadership, vision and parity: Nadda

Sunday, 01 September 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP national executive president Jagat Prakash Nadda today said that the party has policies, intent, vision and leadership, which is lacking in all other opposition parties of the country. Holding a workers conference in Palamu on Saturday, Nadda said the party workers are fortunate to work with a party that does politics of development and has the power to giver leadership from national to colony level.

“You are strong roots of the organisation that follows the principles of Dr SP Mookerjee.  You are working with a right organisation and helping in the development of the nation. We are proud members of the largest political party of the world. After 54 days of membership drive the number of BJP members has gone up to 18 crore from 11 crore. In these 54 days our workers have planted saplings of over 19.66 lakh fruit bearing trees, which will provide fruits and shadow in coming days,” said Nadda to booth level workers of Palamu and Garhwa.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on the occasion, “Now in the 2019 Assembly elections, we must show the same dedication and honesty to all the workers. We have to go beyond 65 plus seats’ target, while doing politics of service. Knock the door of each villager’s house. Workers make aware people of the lies of JMM and Congress. Connect the poor with Government schemes. Your goal should be to make Jharkhand JMM-Congress free and make the State number one in the country. The BJP has full faith in all of you.”

Das said the BJP is the only party in the country where a tea seller can become the Prime Minister, an ordinary worker national president and a student leader the executive chairman. “To reach the top in other parties, it is necessary to be born in that family. Positive changes in India's politics have been seen in the 2014 and 2019 elections. Now the politics of dynasty, casteism and corruption does not work in the country. Now people only need politics of development,” said Das.

BJP State election incharge OP Mathur, State president Laxman Gilua, Union Minister Arjun Munda, State Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, MPS VD Ram, MLAs Alok Chaurasiya, RK Kishore, Bhanu Pratap Shahi alongwith thousands of party workers were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, addressing a conference of UJJWALA Didis in Palamu, Das said that the number of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) connections in Jharkhand has skyrocketed from only 16.80 lakh in 2014 to 55.40 lakh in 2019.

The Chief Minister attributed this increase to the “earnest” efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his revolutionary Ujjwala scheme.

The people of Palamu, a district where only 13.60 per cent households had LPG connections, have also changed their lifestyle and accepted LPG connections with open arms, said Das. “Today, 78.52 per cent households in Palamu have LPG connection. This is a giant leap for the district,” Das added.

He said that the journey of making every household LPG-equipped was not over yet and the State has to provide LPG connections to at least 10 lakh more households. “The 773 Ujjwala Didis will help us achieve this target by travelling to every village and spreading awareness. I am glad that the Government will get the support of Ujjwala Didis in achieving its target,” Das said.

Das also said that the Government will soon end the woes of farmers in drought-prone Palamu. The under construction Mandal Dam in Son river will provide relief to farmers here in situations of drought and rainfall deficit.

Nadda lauded the efforts of the Government under the Ujjwala scheme and said that its success not only reflected the intent of the Government but also the sustaining capacity of its foolproof policies. “Before 2014, people did politics over LPG connections. Today, LPG has reached the lowest strata of the society and all the middlemen and political agents have been eliminated from the process. This is a huge achievement,” he said.
