Monday, 02 September 2019 | Roshan Kumar | Ranchi

The State BJP unit on Sunday gave ample indications that the party will go to year-end Assembly election on the face of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. To sharpen party’s strategy and preparations ahead of announcement of election dates, the State BJP unit is going to launch Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan—a drive which is similar to Har Har Modi Ghar Ghar Modi launched by BJP in 2014 general elections after Narendra Modi, the then Gujarat Chief Minister was made the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

The Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan will be launched in State on September 9 and will continue till the model code of conduct comes into force in State after the election dates are announced. State BJP unit president, Laxman Gilua said, “Under the Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan, party cadres and leaders will reach out to people across the State highlighting the work done by Chief Minister and the turnaround Jharkhand has witnessed in last four and half years.” Sources said that by launching Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan, the State BJP has sent a message that the party will be going to poll on the face of Raghubar Das, through the entire election will be looked by BJP central leadership. Apart from launching the Ghar Ghar Raghubar Abhiyan, the State BJP unit will also launch Jan Ashirwad Yojana on September 15. During the month long Jan Ashirward Yojana (concluding on October 15), the BJP cadres will move across the State thanksgiving the people who had reposed faith on BJP in last parliamentary election. Gilua said, “The people of State in last general election had exuded confidence on Saffron party. Due to people support which reposed faith on BJP, the party was able to win 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats. Assembly wise, the BJP was ahead in 60 plus seats. The BJP leaders and cadres will move across the State thanksgiving people at the same time seeking people support for Assembly election too.” The Jan Ashirwad Yojana will be launched by Chief Minister Raghubar Das either from Santhal Pargana or Kolhan region.

Meanwhile, from September 5 to 10, all senior BJP leaders including ministers (in centre and Raghubar Das Government) MPs (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), MLAs will camp in all 513 party’s organizational mandal across the state. At mandal-level these leaders will work for days taking out padyatras, meeting people door to door and highlighting the achievements of Modi Government at Centre and Raghubar Das Government in State. The camping of these leaders at mandal level assume importance as BJP has set a target to win 65 plus seats in State ahead of year-end Assembly elections. The decision to these were taken at BJP meeting which was attended by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, BJP State unit president Laxman Gilua, BJP organizational secretary Dhrampal Singh and others.
