Friday, 18 October 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

The State BJP unit on Thursday launched multi-level exercises inviting feedback from people on the issues that can be incorporated in its manifesto for the year-end Assembly election.

People willing to make suggestions in preparing the manifesto have to fill their opinions in single page slip christened as ‘Naya Jharkhand—Akanksha Abhiyan’ and have to deposit it at drop boxes kept at 513 party mandals.

The State BJP manifesto committee chairman and Palamu MP, VD Ram said, “The BJP has decided to seek feedback from people. As the party believes in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and Sabka Viswas, we will seek people’s suggestion of next five year’s vision for Jharkhand.”

The single page performa includes, name, mobile and residential address of people with space devoted where people can make their suggestions in ten lines. Ram the former DGP also said that apart from seeking suggestions through drop boxes, interested people can also make their suggestions through social media such as Whatsapp, twitter and Facebook. People can also make a call on toll free number ‘6357171717’ listing about the vision of Jharkhand for next five years. The State BJP for preparing the manifesto has also decided to launch a website seeking suggestions from people. Feedback can also collected through Kamaldoot the party volunteers in each panchayat.

Ram along with State BJP spokespersons JB Tubid and Deendayal Barnwal said, “For preparing the party manifesto BJP leaders including MPs, MLAs and other senior leaders will camp at administrative division where they will directly interact with people seeking feedback for the vision of Jharkhand for next five years.”

The BJP leaders’ camp will start from October 19 and will continue till October 25. On October 19, leaders will camp in Palamu division, followed by October 21 at Kolhan, October 23 at Dumka, and Hazaribagh on October 25.

A senior BJP leader requesting anonymity said, “The party manifesto will include party’s vision in water conservation, ecological balance which includes saying no to single use plastic among other national issue such as construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, uniform civil code among others.”  On being asked whether the manifesto will consist National Register of Citizens (NRC), the BJP leader said that the issue will be decided by senior leaders while preparing the manifesto.

However, Chief Minister Raghubar Das has already pushed for implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Jharkhand saying illegal Bangladeshi migrants are eating away the benefits of the legal Muslim residents of the State.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been stressing on water conservation and has also lauded Jharkhand for it’s an appreciable efforts towards water conservation.

Similarly, Modi has already announced to phase out single use plastic in country. The BJP manifesto will also include Swachta Abhiyan the other core issue attached with Prime Minister’s vision.
